Specimen was consolidated with Paleo Bond Penetrant Stabilizer, then the matrix was dissolved away using warm water and baking soda solution. Finally, the specimen was cleaned up using a pneumatic air scribe, the Micro Jack #2 by Paleo Tools. Specimen recovered from the top of the upper chalky unit of the Boyne Member of the Carlile Formation, above the highest Boyne Bentonite seam, within the turbulent top of the Boyne sequence.
