YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Start Date: June 18, 2018
End Date: August 27, 2018
Hours: 37.5/week
Wage: $12.00/hour
Tasks:
Organization and implementation of youth programming for ages 3-10
Creation of activities
Maintenance of activity room and program supplies
Work within a budget for program supplies/equipment according to available funds
Promotion of CFDC at special events
Promote youth programming (ie. radio interviews)
Create and distribute promotional materials for youth programming
Organize all materials pertaining to youth programming for future reference
Produce program reports at end of season
Requirements:
Full-time students returning as a full-time student
First Aid and CPR Certificates (if you don’t have these certificates, we can help)
Submit to a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check
Recommended to be in the faculty of education
Experience working with youth groups or with the organization of youth activities

FIELD TECHNICIAN:
Start Date: May 7, 2018
End Date: August 27, 2018
Hours: 35/week
Wage: $12.00/hour
Tasks:
Prepare and conduct educational tours within the museum and at fossil dig sites
Assist with public fossil excavations
Successful excavation of marine fossils
Help maintain museum gallery
Assist with or develop new exhibits
Catalogue fossil specimens
Assist with museum research projects
Promotion of CFDC at special events
Assist in organization of special events
Maintain blog entries and prepare the end of season reports
Assist with Gift Shop
Requirements:
Full-time students returning as a full-time student
First aid and CPR certificates (if you don’t have these certificates, we can help)
Valid driver’s license
Submit to a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check
Experience with the public and/or as an interpretive guide
Recommended to have one or more of the following courses: biology, palaeontology, geology, geography, anthropology, or archaeology.
