Replica of Mosasaur skull belonging to the specimen type of Tylosaurus pembinensis.

Tylosaurus pembinensis is the Official Emblem of the Province of Manitoba.

This species was originally described as Hainosaurus pembinensis by Elisabet “Betsy” Nicholls in 1988, and redescribed as and re-diagnosed as Tylosaurus pembinensis by Timon S. Bullard & Michael W. Caldwell in 2010.

The original fossil elements, displayed at the Miami Museum in Miami MB, were curated, preserved and reconstructed by the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre between 2018 and 2024, and finally replicated in 2026.

Now, you can acquire this high quality replica of this unique species of mosasaur, only existing in Manitoba.

Replica made of different polymers including epoxy and Polyester, painted with acrylics.

By acquiring this replica, you are helping to maintain field work and operations at the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre and the Miami Museum.
